This course is for you if: you’re a nervous skater, lack confidence, recovering from an injury, or just like a slow approach and want extra support and guidance. This can include holding the hand of your favorite Isle of Skating coach ❤️

This course isn’t for you if: You already know how to skate a little bit. We believe in you, don’t be shy, you can go straight to Level 1. This course is for adults (18+) only.

Have you been dreaming of learning to skate but looking at your skates terrifies you, and you have no idea how to get started? If yes, then Isle of Skating’s Ultimate Beginners course is here to rescue you!This slow paced course aims to get you confident on skates in a super fun and supportive environment and will help you kickstart your roller skating adventures. During this 6-hour course, you will work alongside an experienced roller skating coach and come away with the below skills:

  • 🌴 Skate anatomy and getting your skates ready to roll!

    🌴 Getting up, balancing & rebalancing

    🌴 Safely falling down

    🌴 Standing without rolling

    🌴 Stepping forwards and sideways

    🌴 Skating stride

    🌴 Bubbles & Alternating bubbles

    🌴 Plough stops

    🌴 T -starts & one foot glides

    🌴Working with your edges

    🌴 Turning

  • 🌴This course is only suitable for roller skaters, not inline skaters.

    🌴students will need to provide their own quad skates, and skating protection: wrist guards. elbow pads & knee pads.

    🌴The course ticket is for all 6 dates. Every class will be held at the same time and place.
